Format Rules
Golden Age is played with 1 adult hero card and an 80 card pool (including weapon(s), equipment, and deck cards).
Your deck may include up to 3 copies of each unique card.
Your deck may only include cards that are generic or are a subset of your hero’s class(es) and/or talent(s).
Every Flesh and Blood card is legal in Golden Age, except those that appear on the Ban List.
You must start the game with exactly 60 cards in your presented deck.
Rounds are recommended to be 55 minutes long, and are best of one.
At the beginning of a match, players should follow the start-of-game procedure:
- Each player reveals their hero card.
- A player is chosen at random, and that player decides who will go first.
- Each player chooses the equipment, weapon(s), and exactly 60-card deck they will use for this game chosen from their 80 card pool.
- Each player shuffles and presents their deck to their opponent, who may shuffle and/or cut.
- Each player reveals the weapon(s) and equipment they have chosen for this game, draws cards up to their hero’s intellect, and the first player begins the first turn of the game.
The match ends when one player’s life is reduced to zero, or a card’s rules text dictates that the game has been won or lost.
If the round timer expires and a winner has not been determined, the turn player completes their turn and then one additional turn is played. At the conclusion of the additional turn, if no winner has been determined, the game is a draw.
